Downtown Lafayette holds the historic side and West Lafayette holds the campus, with the Wabash Heritage Trail and Columbian Park Zoo in between, and Boilerhouse Prime is the newer fine-dining room on the campus side. The Tippecanoe Battlefield and Prophetstown State Park sit minutes north at Battle Ground, and Celery Bog draws birders from across the Midwest. Prophet's Rock is the overlook worth the detour. Delphi's restored canal town is an easy add on the way out of the county.
