Summer is hitting its stride, and central Indiana has a packed week to prove it. You can watch the Fever twice at home, catch Triple-A baseball downtown, spend two nights with Dave Matthews Band, wander a county fair, or cool off inside a brand-new museum exhibit. Here is everything worth your time the week of June 22.
Fever twice, baseball downtown, and a soccer finale
The Indiana Fever are running it back against the Phoenix Mercury at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The first of the two-game set tips off tonight, Monday, June 22, at 8 p.m., with the rematch on Wednesday, June 24. Both games stay home in Indy, so this is a rare chance to see the Mercury at the Fieldhouse twice in one week. Tickets and the full fan guide are at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
A few blocks west, the Indianapolis Indians open a six-game homestand at Victory Field against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the New York Yankees affiliate making its first trip to Indy since 2019. First pitch is Tuesday, June 23, at 7:05 p.m., and Wednesday brings a 1:35 p.m. day game if you want baseball with your lunch break. We love a summer night at the ballpark in Indiana, and tickets are at IndyIndians.com.
Out in Westfield, the Indy Eleven women's team closes its regular season on Wednesday, June 24, at 7 p.m. against Toledo Villa FC. The Girls in Blue play indoors at the Community Health Network Events Center on the Droplight Grand Park Sports Campus, general admission runs about $12, and parking is free. The schedule lives at IndyEleven.com.
County fair season is officially on
Nothing signals an Indiana summer like a 4-H fair, and the Hancock County 4-H Fair is in full swing in Greenfield through Saturday, June 27. Admission and parking are both free, so you can stroll the midway, eat your weight in fair food, and check out the livestock barns without spending a dime to get in.
The grandstand keeps things loud all week. Draft horse pulls run Wednesday night, truck, tractor, and semi pulls take over Thursday, and Full Throttle monster trucks roll in Friday, June 26. Check the nightly lineup at YourHancockFairgrounds.com before you head to 620 Apple Street.
Two big nights at Ruoff
The lawn at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville is busy this week. Riley Green brings his Cowboy As It Gets Tour on Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m., with Justin Moore, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Adam Hood along for the ride.
Then comes the main event for a lot of Hoosiers: Dave Matthews Band returns for its annual two-night stand on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, both at 7:30 p.m. It is one of the most reliable summer traditions on the Indiana concert calendar, and two-day lawn passes are available. Grab seats and parking details at RuoffMusicCenter.net.
Laughs downtown
If you would rather laugh than sweat, Helium Comedy Club downtown is hosting preliminary rounds of the 2026 Funniest Person in the Midwest competition this week. It is a fun, low-key way to catch rising comics before they blow up, just steps from Monument Circle at 10 W. Georgia Street. The full schedule is at Helium Indianapolis.
Cool off with a museum day
When the heat wins, head indoors. The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is showing Tiana's Joyful Celebration, the first-ever exhibit built around Disney's Princess Tiana, produced with Walt Disney Imagineering. Kids help prep a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade through music, dance, and a giant gumbo pot, and it is included with general admission. It pairs perfectly with a full day at one of the best children's museums in Indiana. Details are at childrensmuseum.org/tiana.
Up in Fishers, Conner Prairie is running its first-ever national traveling exhibition, FOOD: Science, Culture, and Cuisine, inside the new Museum Experience Center through mid-September. It is a hands-on, all-five-senses look at how food shapes culture and science, designed for families and the genuinely curious. It is included with admission, parking is free, and more info is at connerprairie.org/food.
And on Mass Ave, the Athenaeum is hosting Pride & Joy, a free community art show celebrating Indy-local LGBTQ+ creators at the Christel DeHaan ArtSpace through July 24. You can view it during Coat Check Coffee hours seven days a week. Find it at athenaeumindy.org.
