👏 1 Big wIN 👏
Friday marks the end of the regular season for Indiana high school football, with sectionals getting underway on Oct. 23 for Class 1A through 5A, and Oct. 30 for Class 6A.
But from last Friday, there is a 3A outcome worth mentioning as 1 Big wIN… #8 Bluffton took down #9 Adams Central 36-28 to end a 17-game losing streak against the Jets. The Tigers leaned on halfback Cooper Craig all night long, and the senior delivered, gaining 126 yards on the ground with two touchdowns, while also posting 91 receiving yards with a score.
Bluffton is one of 28 unbeaten teams still standing in the Hoosier State. You can hear the full Week 8 recap, Week 9 preview and more on Get IN. Sports.
🎙 On today's show I sat down with the creator behind Small Town Indiana, a lifelong Indianapolis Southsider who began making content in 2020 to highlight small towns and later gained major traction covering breaking news, including the Greenwood Park Mall shooting, drawing on an early passion for journalism and experience as a 911 dispatcher to manage difficult stories.
He now reaches over 250,000 followers across platforms, balancing crime and court updates with his statewide quest to rate breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, a series sparked by a Marengo Tavern recommendation. He explains his "little piggies" rating criteria, including crunch, meat-to-breading ratio, bun, and size, and shares his top five, stories of reviews boosting small-town businesses, and upcoming Cataract-area tenderloin competition.
