On the latest edition of the Sideline Sports Show, Brice and DC recap another wild week of high school football across northeast Indiana, breaking down the best matchup, biggest surprises, and standout performers from Week 3.
Snider handled Bishop Luers 27-2. Luers is now 0-3 for the second consecutive season, while Snider got strong performances from quarterback Max Johnson, running back Braylon Burton, and receiver Keaton Robinson.
Northrop also picked up a big rivalry win, defeating North Side 26-20. The Bruins built a 20-6 advantage and held on for the victory, giving Northrop consecutive wins over North Side for the first time since the 2016–18 stretch.
The biggest score of the week may have come from Columbia City, which demolished Bellmont 76-0. The Eagles scored eight rushing touchdowns in one of the most dominant performances of the season.
East Noble also picked up a 49-28 win over Huntington North. East Noble led 21-14 at halftime before pulling away, with four Huntington North turnovers proving costly. Aaron Perlich rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown, while Austin Phillips added 140 yards and two scores.
DeKalb remained undefeated with a 28-14 win over New Haven, moving to 3-0 for the first time since 2019.
Bluffton delivered perhaps the most impressive performance of the week, crushing South Adams 50-15. The Tigers dominated on the ground, piling up 403 rushing yards compared to just 33 for the Starfires.
Eastside continued its dominant start with a 63-0 shutout of Central Noble. Fremont also picked up a 40-25 victory over Churubusco, while West Noble defeated Garrett 36-27.
Angola survived a wild finish against Fairfield, winning 7-6.
Brice and DC then look ahead to another loaded Friday night, highlighted by several games that could have major implications in the conference races.
The guys also recap the opening weekend of college football. Western Michigan came away feeling robbed after a controversial result, while Indiana opened the season with an efficient offensive performance against North Texas. Purdue started slowly against Indiana State before eventually pulling away for the victory.
