2026 Allen County Athletic Conference High School Football Preview

On the latest edition of the Sideline Sports Show, Brice and DC continue their high school football conference preview series with a deep dive into the Allen County Athletic Conference.

The conversation begins with the defending powerhouse, Adams Central, which has dominated the ACAC by winning five straight conference championships and hasn't lost a league game since 2020. Brice and DC discuss whether anyone in the conference is capable of ending the Flying Jets' reign in what has traditionally been a top-heavy league.

South Adams head coach Grant Moser and Wes Summersett, a Bowling Green commit, join the show to preview the upcoming season for the Starfires. South Adams has added Eastside Blazers football to its schedule and will turn to junior quarterback Zaden Baumer after he gained valuable experience last season. The group discusses who else is ready to step into bigger roles and whether South Adams can build on consecutive semi-state appearances by finally reaching the state finals.

Bluffton head coach Brent Kunkel and senior running back Cooper Craig stop by to talk about the outlook for the Tigers. The discussion focuses on the players expected to take the next step and how Craig's leadership role has expanded entering his senior season.

Adams Central quarterback Jamison Roach joined the program to discuss the Flying Jets' move up to Class 3A and whether it changes the team's approach after years of postseason success. They also talk about avoiding complacency after five consecutive regional championships, replacing standout offensive linemen Nate Geerken and Cam Fravel.

Brice and DC also preview the rest of the conference, including Heritage, which is looking for more consistency after showing flashes of potential against Adams Central, a Jay County team hoping to find more offensive production, and a new era for Southern Wells under first-year head coach Jeff Sprunger. Also, Woodlan returns plenty of young talent and faces an early-season test with games against Prairie Heights and Central Noble.
