From there, the conversation shifts to high school baseball sectionals across northeast Indiana. Locally, the guys break down key matchups, including Homestead vs. Huntington North and Angola vs. DeKalb.
DeKalb enters the matchup with momentum after a dramatic sectional semifinal win over Bishop Dwenger. The Barons appeared ready to close the game out before a late error allowed Dwenger to tie things in the seventh inning, but DeKalb responded with a walk-off victory. The guys also revisit DeKalb’s earlier 9-6 win over Angola from more than a month ago.
Another marquee matchup features Carroll against Snider, with Carroll looking to build off a dominant 14-3 victory over the Panthers earlier this month.
The discussion also expands statewide, with Austin highlighting some of the best sectionals and regional storylines across Indiana. Matchups like Goshen vs. Concord, Lafayette Central Catholic vs. North Montgomery, and a loaded Bloomington sectional draw plenty of attention, while the Evansville area once again appears stacked with state-title contenders.

Softball regional action also takes center stage with several key northeast Indiana matchups, including Carroll at Homestead and East Noble traveling to Mississinewa. The crew also discusses a massive Class 3A showdown between Yorktown and Logansport, calling it one of the best softball matchups in the state.
Later in the show, Brice and Austin dive into the Chicago Cubs’ 2026 season thus far. The Cubs’ inconsistent stretch has seen them bounce from first place to last and back into second in the division within a matter of weeks. The guys debate what the team still needs as the trade deadline approaches, agreeing that pitching depth and additional arms remain a major priority.
Finally, the show wraps up with NBA playoff talk after a dramatic Game 7 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wembanyama’s supporting cast stepped up in a major way, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was left carrying most of the load for Oklahoma City. The crew agrees the Spurs are quickly becoming one of the league’s biggest rising powers before debating who they’ll be rooting for between the Spurs and New York Knicks in the NBA Finals.
