Hamilton County Prosecutor Greg Garrison announced Wednesday an update on a recent Fishers shooting. He determined that filing the death penalty in the case against 32-year-old Joshua Farmer of Noblesville was appropriate.
According to autopsy reports, Kaylah, a mother of three, was shot fifteen times.
Prior to her death, Joshua Farmer had a history of domestic abuse against Kaylah, including accusations of physical assault and intimidation.

The murder took place at a Speedway Gas Station near 116th Street and Allisonville Road. Witnesses reported hearing 30 to 40 shots fired.
- Joshua was arrested the following day, hiding behind shrubs on the east side of Indianapolis.
Joshua Farmer had already been accused of punching and choking Kaylah in front of their children on May 21, and even pointing a firearm at both Kaylah and their oldest child.
He now faces charges including murder, stalking while armed with a deadly weapon, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
