Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and step back into the times of 1776 at the 3rd Annual Colonial Fair on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 in Middletown, Indiana.
Just 45 minutes northeast of downtown Indianapolis in Henry County, the Colonial Fair – presented by the Daughters of the American Revolution – fully immerses guests into a mythical town to meet historic characters like George Washington, watch skits, and enjoy hands-on activities like weaving, block printing a scarf, spinning wool into yarn, breaking flax into linen, and crafting candles and tinware.
There is also a spy school to become one of Washington’s spies, Liberty the Fox Hunt to find 13 hidden foxes around Middletown, and an interactive Patriot’s Pursuit scavenger hunt.
This year’s fair honors the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Publication of Common Sense, and capture of Nathan Hale. The Colonial Fair is not vendor or battle centric.
The fair is free to attend but donations are accepted. Free tickets can be claimed at colonialfair.org.
