but our Partnerships and our discounts is really the value behind the membership and that's what I'm trying to do and our vision is like we just need to save people time what's like a challenge or something that's on your list where it's like this is the next thing I want to do from South bin to Evansville and everywhere in between this is get in the show focused on the hooer state and the incredible stories happening here today I'm Nate spangle founder of G Indiana and I will be your host for today's conversation today I'm joined by Matt gos president and CEO of AAA who your motor club now Matt is over two decades of experience in the insurance industry and dedicates it work to building professional teams and delivering exceptional service triaa hoer motor club is a regional affiliate of AAA they offer services like roadside assistance insurance and travel planning to its members here in Indiana the organization is dedicated to providing safety security and peace of mind on and off the road for its over 400,000 members and we're going to dive into that today we're going to be talking about uh why triaa is important on and off the road Innovations Legacy businesses we to AAA and talk specifically about Matt's personal fitness journey it's going to blow your mind uh Matt was maybe almost twice the size that he is now and uh and I'm excited to dive into that and in your journey over the last two decades there so Matt welcome to get in hey thanks for having me Nate I appreciate it man I'm excited about this before we pressed record we found out that we have some some similarities and some friends and some common the classic Indiana thing right it's like we know the same people um so my friends at new Sho day the Run Club I go to on Wednesdays it also does a ton of like great nonprofit work here and and then you know bickers who's like friends with Casey and like all it's all connected there yeah yeah I met them when um we went out to Colorado and uh Alex actually ran Leadville for the first time and so that's when I came into contact with that group and watch them struggle through that 100 miles if anyone doesn't know Leadville ultramarathon 100 miles through uh like the tall it's the highest elevation mountain town in Colorado literally the highest city in America oh my gosh yeah yeah like I don't know 11,400 feet above yeah sea level it's crazy that's crazy and you paced uh Alex for part of that yeah we paced Alex for part of that we brought him into the little town I forget the name of it uh you know he was on The Struggle Bus at the time and you know the good thing is is he went out and you know Scotty took him from that uh that town a halfway mark and he ended up uh dnfing that year but uh going back the next year and and kicking its butts that's CRA like for people that don't know it's like you don't a Pacer until you get through 50 miles yeah so like you got to go 50 miles through the mountain by yourself and then on the way back you get to uh and if you've never run at you know 11 12 13 and 14,000 ft of elevation it's not like running out here so yeah it's a different beast but you're telling me the Monon Trail is not the same it is you know it's very similar exactly the same a lot of prep work on the Monon Trail uh oh absolutely it's like you know those are ones where you train you put your your treadmill like incline all the way up and you're just like all right today we're going to suffer yeah um okay well let's dive into all things triaa okay like I'm excited to know I mean when I think of triaa first thing is right it's the roadside assistance but like I started to notice triaa a ton uh this past year I was at the State Fair okay and there's like AAA day and there's like people and I'm like is roadside assistance really this like big of a thing but then I started like do a little Deep dive and I'm like oh there's so much more to triaa than just the roadside assistance and so I'm just like Curious of like tell me like how you position yeah so how I position AAA is really when I tell people it's it's like three business verticals we have an insurance agency that's one of the largest insurance agencies in the state we have a travel agency that is the largest Travel Agency in brick and mortar locations in the state I think it's the second largest in the World Behind Expedia and then you have roadside service you know and roadside service is what people know and love us for because we we rescue lives on the side of the road but we we are well beyond that you know you saw us at the AAA day at the State Fair all members get in free one day at the State Fair we have you know an explosion of AAA uh Personnel out there but really this year what we wanted to do is expand that partnership right so we got into the Live Nation deal out at ruoff so we have a AAA Fastpass so if you're a AAA member you get in up to 30 minutes uh before anyone else wait what so if you have you know if you have a lawn seat it's important to get there early and get a great spot well with us you can get in up to 30 minutes early before any concert and get your um your preferred seating location oh that's sick that's worth they right there yeah and it's beyond that so we do the member Lounge so you can go in and you have your own little private restroom area yeah it's the AAA member Lounge as soon as you go through the gate there and then they they've actually expanded it because it was so popular this year okay wait to talk to me about pricing that like how how much does it cost to be a AAA member for a year yeah so a basic member is $89 a year and right now that gets you everything that you need wait for $89 a year I could get into every ruol concert 30 minutes early yeah up to 30 minutes so depending on the concert sometimes it's 20 sometimes it's 15 but yeah up to 30es you're getting in early you're getting early so for $89 a year I can get an early to every concert at ruok yeah and that that costs the normal person money you know it's like up to $30 I think for just the Fastpass and then like 50 for the the little VIP area Okay so 89 bucks gets you like you're you are a member is is that like you get roadside assistance all that roadside assistance battery replacement you know what most people don't know is we'll come to your house put a one of the best batteries in your vehicle test it give you a three-year replacement warranty for less than what you can drive to the local store for I think here's the thing like with when it comes to like Triple A and some of these other like things like it's like it sounds too good to be true like it sounds like it is literally the best deal going there's I mean it's less than $8 a month and we do all this for you okay so if you had to like put it in a list like like do you say this is the best deal in the world what do you what all do you get for $89 you get three miles of free Towing four times a year and then there's another level of membership you can get 100 miles and another level of membership you can get 200 miles so you know depending on what your need is there and you're covered from coast to coast not just in Central Indiana so all the AAA clubs and our 66 million members are there for you the best thing for me with roadside is this I have you know a 22-year-old son who was in the Coast Guard and I knew that if he broke down at 1:00 in the morning coming back from a deployment that a AAA roadside technician who has a full background check every year their mbrs ran regardless if it's a contractor or a AAA employee will be there to pick him up at 1:00 in the morning cameras and cab and everything so when I think a roadside service that's what I think of but then again it's like travel packages Nate I know that everybody can go online for like 3 days and try to find the best flights the best times the best package hey just call your local trip a a travel agent let them do it for you for free if you're a member and then give you those options and then you can shop from there you know and then when you come to Insurance the best discount that you get when you're a triaa member what 5 to 10% off your annual insurance rate just for being a member so that there pays for the membership alone so there's there's there's three things right there but we we can go on and on and on and like okay so we're going to dive into each of these verticals just a little bit because like I'm I'm fascinated now because I'm like it's just one of those things where you're like ah it just seems like I'm somehow I'm getting got here and I don't know how but like but I as like go on the uh AAA H your motor club website that's right like newest discounts Indianapolis Indians tickets yes Like ruoff Music Center Symphony on the Prairie and Jiffy Loop like you can make your money back in those four things the Jiffy Lube partnership this year is incredible so you get $25 off an oil change I change my oil full four times a year that's $100 okay a membership is$ 889 and it's not an elevated price an inflated price you go into Jiffy Lube you tell them you're a AAA member and we we went from it was only Thursdays to now it's every day starting November 1st so you go in you tell them you're a AAA member you show them your card and you get $25 off your world change I am I an idiot for not being in triaa I'm not going to answer that question I'm okay so if we go just through like the the discounts and the auto stuff start there right so like won the piece of mine three mouth so I'll let it know uh this past year for the Indie 500 I bought a 1986 Dodge Ram pickup and off Facebook Marketplace and I flipped it and we were the first truck into the n500 oh wow it was insane I got there like 10:30 the night before this thing is it's a beauty it's old and like sometimes it's like a little questionable and we literally said like man like I want to know if this would actually work if I was a AAA member we're at the speedway and and I pull out I get out of the track and like I'm on the side of the road and I'm like dude the the truck won't start and I call AA a like no matter what year price anything like you guys will just tow it for three miles yes for free because I'm a member and we'll tow we'll tow it for further and we you know we we charge anything over three but um you know the charge is still better than what you're going to find but you know one thing about the nd500 example is the indy500 and the and the police do hold us out until a certain time after the track so it would take us a little bit of time to get in there but yeah we would we would have towed that truck to your parking spot and then came and got it and towed it back out if you wanted oh wow okay so here's the thing I didn't get home till midnight after the race I got there at 10:30 the night before get home till midnight cuz it was so bad and I was like bro I would do anything I $89 a year sold next year I'm in I'm just going to leave it in the infield and you'll tow it out of there there you go there we go uh okay cool so so Towing three miles that makes sense and the piece of my but like lack my keys in my car yeah we have lockout service uh so we'll we'll send a a specialist to get your keys out of the car no charge for free yep no way I paid like 200 bucks to locksmith to like get that P okay so how does it work if I thought through like the economics of it is it because like there's just price breaks in quantity and because there's so many AAA members you can go to a place like Jiffy Lube or ruaf or whoever and say like we're going to bring you know 10,000 oil changes to you give us the best price yeah well you know the economics aren't like like that you know Partnerships you have to pay for um but then our value is the 400,000 members that we get to spread the word with so Jiffy Lube for us as a as a as a partnership where you know we advertise we spend 5 $6 million a year just in advertising so you would want to be a part of that if you're a small business owner in Central Indiana to drive business to your organization but then in return we would expect you to give our members the best value you can so that's the expectation right like we're looking for local Partners right now if a member wants to go down stay at a nice hotel in Indianapolis and have a nice dinner I want to be able to sell them a AAA package that they get the best rate by by booking through us and that's that's what AAA can do we do it really well in some European countries you know and your train trips and your cruises but I want I want to localize it a little bit more and we and we haven't done that yet you know where the first one needs to be tell me French Lake it is I literally had this conversation yesterday okay I just dropped I just dropped my like review like I went down there I was there for corn fairy golf tour yes it was phenomenal so I'm there Wednesday to Sunday and they like I bop over to Jasper for a day check out over there I was up at the Salem Speedway it was so cool and I was like like I'm like talking to them I'm like you need to just like package this thing where it's like you get a couple rounds of golf and you're going to dinner here and doing this thing I did not feel like I was in Indiana if you're from French l call me because that's what we want to do the golf course is Second To None the best golf course I've ever played on period yes oh I could never I would lose 25 balls that mean that's a good day for me but then it's like okay dine stay and play right and give my AAA members the best deal and I promise I'll promote it to 400,000 people okay I know the people there French Lick we're going to be having a discussion here that's awesome like it's such a good time and I'm actually going to drop my like locals review like a 10-minute video of like here are all the things that as an Insider I spent 5 days down there and you got to do this this this and this and like it was it was phenomenal like I loved it and so like yeah doing that localized right cuz I do feel like that just Segways us perfect into travel right and like travel agents are hot again like I feel like there's like influencer travel agents and this and that because like I mean there's just so much noise there is and everywhere you go it's like there's so much opportunity and choice we have today but every at every turn I feel like I'm getting like sold something too right it's like oh gosh where am I getting got here like same with triple like again I love that we're setting the record straight and that like it feels really authentic because like I do I do feel at times where it's like I have to be getting got somewhere here like this doesn't make that much sense let me tell you how great whoer motor club's travel agency is we have the number one travel agent in the country in Indiana who is it it's lean Decker and she's in Carmel lean Decker in Carmel is the number one travel agent in the country she booked like $5 million in travel so she's she gets a a special presentation yeah out of like 3500 travel agents within the AAA ecosystem she was number one right here in Indiana okay what makes her so good well first off you just need to talk to her she is amazing lean Decker yeah so I have trust issues right when it comes to travel and and I was that person like if you go back 10 years ago I would spend three days and that's all I would do is try to find like the best trip the best you know price you're like the guy with like the string attached like you're like trying to find the who who and then so I slowly started to pass my travel off to Leanne and you know I just got back from Australia she booked that trip for me she's booked all my personal travel we're going to to Dr and um you know for New Year's Eve so she booked that travel for me and a couple friends so it's we trust her explicitly now wow okay and what's the benefits right of let's just say travel agent but also what are the benefits of the AAA travel agent well let me tell you about the AAA travel agent first off have you ever heard of the diamond program nope so triaa goes out and personally inspects these hotels that we're going to put you in and they go through it I'm talking like white glove testing for germs wiping under mattresses I forget how many hundreds of data points that they collect in a room but we show up unannounced and we inspect thousands of hotels every year so the first thing you want to look at is is it a diamond rated hotel that I'm staying at because if it is you can trust that you're going to receive excellent service clean rooms only do only AAA members get to see if it's Diamond rated or not no no no like could I just go on there and see if it's like AAA Diamond so anyone out there you can see that they're spending money to send Hotel reviewers out there to like inspect these like undercover guests right andp employees triple if it's Diamond rated then that means it's good like how many how many Indianapolis hotels are diamond rated oh there are several okay yeah several and it goes from one Diamond to five diamond oh so the inspection process doesn't differ it's just the amenities of the hotel when you go from 1 to 5 so okay yeah I'd hate to call out just like a hotel but you can you can find them real quick I know I'm looking like oh yeah there's three Diamonds the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott Downtown Indianapolis yeah I wonder what the JW oh JW Four Diamonds ho 35 diamonds yeah no probably not in Indianapolis oh yeah I see that I think we Peak out at Four Diamonds the Indianapolis Marriott downtown the JW those are two of my favorites yeah like if you're coming in from out of town you should you should consider staying at the JW it's it's awesome it is perfect um Okay cool so so travel agent you're getting this one you know that you're going to have a good like a good location or like a a clean Hotel cuz there's nothing I'm an Airbnb guy truthfully and I think I've stayed in like 30 airbnbs and like one time I just got I literally talked about this the other day like I got got one time like pictures did not match what the inside really looked like and I was like yeah we have preferred Partnerships too that's what we sell through right are these preferred packages so about 90% of our packages go through our preferred provider so let me go back to co you know what our uh travel agents spent most of the year in Co doing refunding our members their money on packages that they had purchased did you get a refund from any hotel or you know any package that you purchase through someone else no and that's what we spent most of our year doing our our travel Revenue decreased 95% that year and we still gave back everyone's money because of the trips that they they purchased through us so there's there's some security when you purchase through us as well and I mean with 400,000 members so as I think through like okay business side of it like is that globally 400,000 members that's Central Indiana 66 million across the United States oh there's 400,000 AAA members just in Central Indiana in just Central Indiana yeah oh my we have one in three households as a member in the country yeah so one in three of you watching this video right now is a AAA member yes like comment put down below what your favorite your favorite benefit from tripa ISS most people don't know the benefits you know our challenge has been roadside service is the Cornerstone of who we are but our Partnerships and our discounts is really the value behind the membership I would love okay this would be a fun experiment to run it's like I pay $89 or whatever it is like you know the basic membership of AAA and like I want someone to calculate how much money they actually make back in the long run our average member saves about three times what they spend on their membership that's the the average that's you're averaging you know you're making 300 bucks back personally I spend about 70 nights in a Marriott and the tripa discount when you go to a Marriott and some of our other Hotel Partners is substantial so I can assure you I've probably saved three or 4,000 if you book a rental car through Herz you're going to get the best rate you know we have a buy one get one so you get a free day uh if you have a a child that needs a car seat you don't have to upgrade you get a free car seat with Herz so I mean when you look at the partnership and that's like okay it's like like you know 15 bucks or I don't know what it is like you $24.
99 it's like those little things like oh those can add up yeah wow yeah our largest partnership in this area is with LensCrafters the average member saves like $110 at Lens Crafters $89 membership to save 110 another 100 for oil changes $25 at Hertz you know it it just keeps stacking the fast pass the member Lounge remember when you said you weren't going to answer the question of if I'm idiot for not being a member or not I think you just answered the question like what but we haven't done a good job of speaking to our younger demographic our average member is 58 years old mate and that's what that's the challenge so now we've we've we've got an incredible marketing team in place we're on Tik talk which I had to download the other day for the first time you know our social our social media presence is there we're working with some AI companies like we have to get I yes it's not like a value problem it's a messaging problem it's a messaging problem for sure like and that like Segways us really well into like this this Innovation to the the front right because like you know things are changing and like to me if your average member is 58 like that is clearly a problem with like not your marketing and your messaging probably of like not tailoring to my demographic because I'm like yeah why would I why would I do this why doesn't make any sense like but now after I sit here and have like a I mean we're 20 minutes into the conversation and I'm like I'm a freaking like I should be on there buying a membership right now like you could make your I it literally seems I don't know quote me if I'm wrong but I could like make my membership dues back in a day if I were buying glasses or you know buying travel I could literally spend $89 to save over $89 quick pause in the action to tell you about my friends from hard truth this is my favorite bourbon in the state of Indiana I was down at the distillery in Nashville it is a place you have to check out this holiday season if you're looking for a getaway go down there get a spot at the cabin hang out at the restaurant The Distillery go on all the tours it is an amazing time as you're thinking about holiday gifting go pick up a bottle of hard Truth at the nearest liquor store and and give that to the special someone in your life it is a gift that you definitely won't forget there's plenty of recipes and fun stuff that you can make with a bourbon as well I love what they have they have some amazing collabs with people like melon Camp whsy Co hard truth has been an amazing partner of mine they were at the world Mixology Championship they were the bourbon of choice there their Journey over the past few years has been incredible to watch I'm a huge fan of hard truth and they've been a great supporter to us make sure you go check out hard truth now let's get back into it so I I have a lot of friends and they ask me why would I want to be a AAA member now most of us have you know drivers that are 16 to 24 years old and I say how valuable is your time because yes you can change a battery or you can jump start your daughter down at IU but why not have me do it for that $89 a year for free that right there I don't know what your time is worth Nate but I can tell you this if your battery is dead in this parking lot and you call me and within 30 minutes I'm here replacing your battery or giving you a jump start is that not worth $89 so do you get like a better price in the battery too we do because you can imagine that's not cheap yeah and it's like it's not hard like I'm like you know semi handy enough like it's not hard to replace your battery but it's freaking annoying it's in or heavy you have to drive to the local store you have to buy a battery first off do you know what battery you have to research the battery if you're like me you would have to YouTube how to take your old battery out and put your new battery in just let us do it let us give you a threeyear no hassle if anything happens that battery we come out and put a brand new one in and I still think that price with us coming to your house doing it for you on your time is cheaper than what you can get it's like imagine you you you press you have a stopwatch and you press go and it's like you value your time even let's say low level like $20 an hour yep it's like I still think you're it's adding pretty fairly in there yes like wow okay I'm I'm intrigued but we're talking gosh this messaging issue right and like this the way that you guys are one localizing like you're talking about like partnership because I'm sure that your analog like Michigan motor club or whatever would be called like has a deal with Ford Field or someone up there and like how you guys are investing the Hoosier motor club locally I think that's really cool and like a cool Innovation as well as just like how you're trying to get more I'm 27 how you're trying to get more 27 year olds to be AAA members yeah so I'm not a marketing person but I'm I I'll tell you what my vision is right my vision is if I go into a partnership with you I expect something for my member you know and I see logos on buildings and signs that does nothing for me so if I'm going to invest in a partnership with let's say the Indianapolis Indians they need to do something for my member the logo is great but what value does this bring for our member in Indiana because that's what they're paying for right they want to see something so they get discounted tickets there's special spaces they can go you know that I think it's 10% off at the concession stands so that almost saves you $89 right there so we've got the Indianapolis Indians we just signed a deal with the Indiana hooers same thing there's going to be a AAA member Lounge at every football game now so you can go in and have your own private tailgate area we have the tailgate Lounge at Live Nation the Connor Prairie tickets I forget the percentage off right off the top of my head but the Connor Prairie deal is an excellent deal for admission and these concerts they have so again what can our members get from you and I'll pay the the partnership expense and that's what we're looking for in a partner right now and you just stack up those those benefits right or it's like you know in literally those four things like I do get what people like the the counter argument to that would be like well I have to pay and then I also have to pay more it's like well you just going to sit in your house all year long like no you're not like you're going to go to an Indians game you're maybe you're going to go to Conor Prairie maybe you're going to go to these different places and do these things like you might as well save your money maybe your car breaks down and I think a 10 milei toe is $140 some dollar so if you just have a toe with us that's going to take care of it okay like what kind of like and do you have any like other crazy stories mebe not crazy stories but just like your about like your sons in the Coast Guard and like there's like a peace of mind like if I was a dad and you know having like a daughter at IU or like different stories of like people that where you're making a really big impact and like you know saving the day almost oh there there's so many stories the first thing that's really cool about the position I'm in is a I get to oversee you know 270 employees and make their lives better every day but how focused they are on Member Service you know it's very much a service organization and our roadside we call them roadside Heroes because that's what they are they're very much in that service-minded business they want to get you back on the road they want to help you you know and the stories that we hear that come in is like it was 2:00 in the morning I got off work my car didn't start and it was 14 degrees below zero that is a terrible feeling we and like you it's like you only have to change your tire when it's raining well here's what I do when I'm on 465 I look over and I see some guy that's probably never changed a tire before trying to change a tire with cars flying by 75 M hour and I'm like that is the best $89 you can spend let us come and change your tire you know we we can give you a a universal spare tire to get you back on the way we can tow you to a local tire shop but here's what's really cool we just opened our own startup called my pit crew so my pit crew sells tires you buy them online or you can call us we'll come right to your office or house and we'll change the tires for you no more waiting you know I don't know about you but I we started this business cuz we hate going to the tire shop dropping our car or waiting 4 hours and then you talk about getting got like sometimes I feel like when you're flipping through those books it's like I don't know what to buy so just trust AAA go online buy the tire you want we'll come to your house we'll install them it is crazy have you okay so this is called my pit crew my pit crew okay that's a really good Innovation cuz I just bought tires maybe like uh earlier this spring and like it was a horrible process because it's not like e-commerce where I'm like I know what I want in my head I'm like I know what I want like and it's like there no offense to the Jeep dealership I drive a Jeep and like I'm like okay I want this type of thing like and maybe it's just like a Jeep thing or a truck thing or whatever but it's like I knew what I wanted and I was like well look we don't have that but we have this and I like like to go to the dealership and they're like printing out a PDF and emailing it to me and I'm like this is 2024 why do I have a PDF they never have what you want so what we can do is it's literally you go on right now Nate you pick out the tires you want they drop shipped to our warehouse we can install them tomorrow and it comes to I think that's another crucial piece of like my car's in the parking lot here like I like the ideas of businesses that are like Mobile Oil Change or mobile this mobile that like I think it's CU it all goes down to the original comment how valuable is your time how valuable is your time and that's what I'm trying to do and our vision is like we just need to save people time because I don't know about you but I I think a lot about my time especially like today when you go get your annual physical you're getting closer to 50 your doctor tells you oh know the your eyesight's not bad it's just your age my time is very valuable right now yeah and I mean and thing I saw as we were kind of building our outline for the show like family is super important to you and we're not going to like I don't want to be like okay like become a AAA member because you could spend more time playing catch with your son like obviously you could yes like we get that we're not going to like totally but like time with your family is super important and like I know that's a huge uh staple of of who you are and like the way you speak about your team like talk to me about just like the impact of um of like leadership and and just like how this journey has been for you well first off the journey is crazy from where I started and where I'm at today it's an unbelievable story but when I think about my team and how I want to win as I went through people and I hire great people that are committed and dedicated and they want to win right so think about drivers think about people that think differently and then I think one of the things that we've done differently is my history isn't in AAA so I see AAA as different than most and I want to hire people to put them around me to also see differently and that's where you're you're seeing these engaging Partnerships come how can we formulate these memberships to where they work for everybody and save people time you know ju just something as simple as um let's go back to family a family movie theater you can go on to AAA tickets right from our website and buy discounted movie theater tickets so if you go see five flicks a year you're probably going to pay for the cost of your membership just because we have local deals with our local movie theaters to make it more affordable for you I might need to do a review concert tickets whatever you want here's like 10 ways that I like there's here take this to your marketing team and it's going to be like it's a series one video a week and it's like 10 ways you made back your AAA membership in one purchase there is a a Tik Tok video that recently went viral and this lady she's like how did I not know about AAA and she goes through these benefits and it's like it's amazing that someone can review your membership better than you and that's what she did it's better that way yeah like like I go back to French Lick like French Lake posts all the time about how great they are and I'm like nobody wants to hear you no one wants to hear you talk about how great Triple A is even though we like I'm asking the questions and inciting it right it's not like he's on here just being like it's like you're just answering the questions and telling the facts like I'm now out there preaching to the like to the heavens like French Lick is sick like you need to go like I already want to go back and I just like I just was there I it's an annual trip for me it has to be yeah and so it's like when someone else goes in it's like how not know about AAA like it has this it has this it has this like that's what it seems like to me but then like when I'm just like by myself and I'm like walking by the booth or whatever at uh the Indiana State Fair and I'm like how are you trying to get me like you're trying to get me no there's no getting I love it I like I'm going it's one of the world's most trusted Brands Nate I I believe that and and I do think that that 58 year like I feel like my parents generation or maybe my grandparents generation as well like really love AAA um and it's somewhere I gotten lost to my generation so so we're looking at a strategy refresh now and how I told the executive team is so we've been in business since 1902 how awesome is it that we get a what were they doing in 1902 well we started out a traveler advocacy but remember there were still some automobiles in pockets in 1902 you know we weren't Towing um horse and Buggies but yeah 1902 we were selling Insurance since before the 1900s so when and I tell my executive team like we get to put our fingerprints in this concrete of a business that's 120 plus years old like we have to take our responsibility pretty serious I like love the the just like how enlightening this is because it's like you you talked about it's like it's your dream job like to grow up and run like Indiana's triaa it's like I don't know but like now that I see all things go into it I'm like it's pretty sweet yeah like you get to think every day like one side of it is like how do I grow the membership base cuz with obviously with more members your budget get gets bigger and you can then go make bigger Partnerships and like do cooler things for your members like if if everyone in Central Indiana was a member of Triple A like imagine all the cool you could do yeah well here's the thing right so follow us on our social media channels because that's where we give away things concert tickets flyaways you know we were doing a FlyAway concert um we I think we gave away three of the VIP party decks this year so like 40 members get to come to Ru off and see a concert it was all free uh we're doing a a game at um for basketball men's basketball at IU we're going to do a travel game for a member like all these cool things you get but you have to follow us on social media to find it right okay and I I do want to preface like this kind of seems like it's been an ad for Tria like there was like this is not a financial deal here like I was just very curious about Triple A and like why like I know why this should matter to a 27-year-old and so like I love it like I I don't I don't mean it to come off as an Adat no I love it I think it's great and the way you're just like straight up explaining it like I think that's super beneficial because like a lot of people do feel like everyone anyone who's trying to sell me anything I'm always like I don't know like Tire Guy like they're trying to sell me those tires because like you know what and it's like when you get to go out and do your own research and be curious and like oh like this actually makes a lot of sense like tires are hard like they're hard to purchase they're hard to buy and they're very expensive yeah it's like I don't want to be pressured into this ,000 decision right now so go online mypi crew.
com and we'll install them at your house tomorrow and and I love that you guys are do you have any other like Innovations or startups similar to that one you are watching no my pit crew. com or my pit crew right now is the only Innovative thing we have going but we're looking at some other stuff oh okay huge thank you to our friends at Greeks Pizzeria since 1968 Greeks have been serving up Delicious Pies all over Indiana from Fort Wayne to Crawfordsville down to Bloomington and everywhere in between Greeks Pizzeria is all over the state you need to go check out the video I posted of Mike Cole now Mike owns the Greeks in zville he ran the race marathon in Columbus and broke the World Record for fastest marathon while holding a pizza it was a spectacle it was super awesome the man crushed it he ran a 3-hour and 15minute Marathon while holding a pizza that's faster than I run my normal Marathon it was an insane feat to witness give yourself a break for making dinner tonight pull out your phone go to GRE pizzeria.
com and find the store nearest you order a large pepperoni you're going to be a hero for your significant other or your kids whoever they are they're going to love you there's a reason they've been in business for 55 years they know what they're doing when it comes to Pizza go check out Greeks pizzeria. com well let's shift gear cuz I mean the person behind uh behind triaa like what you're doing and your journey is crazy to me so like if we rewind we go back to like the early 2000s uh and you were nearly 300 lb yeah 300 lb a size 46 waist oh my yeah and like I don't anyone like go check out the YouTube video like Matt is not he's not a size 46 waist now like you I would say like you're very in shape 34 I'm size dude I'm 32 so like like he's there here we go all right so talk to me like when was the realization of like hey man this is maybe not healthy and I need to fix something yeah so you know change uh is is hard for everybody and I remember going to the doctor and and one day I got my pilot's license how old are you at so I'm probably 21 years old at this time I'm at the doctor right and I'm going for my flight physical and I remember him saying like Matt you're heavy you know and I was 284 at the time and I graduated high school I was 165 lbs wait so that's you're 18 you're 165 lbs and then within years by the time I'm 22 I'm 285 did you go to would you go to college I did not you did not so you're just like I got married when I was 21 okay so you know I think that depression sets in on people in different ways and it's a tough topic to talk about and for me my my depression uh coping mechanism was eating and I remember my favorite meal right now uh was Wendy's number four double bacon burger with an extra junior bacon cheeseburger like biggie sized that was like every day or or 10 chalupas from Taco Bell you know a pizza not a piece of pizza a pizza um and and I remember the doctor telling me like you'll lose your eyesight and never be able to fly and I was like hm okay you go on go about your day you know it's like like change or die most people don't change cuz it's so hard like I actually uh Dave Rick uh the CEO of Lily okay he was on the Allin podcast I don't know if you're familiar with that one it's like uh there's a bunch of investors whatever but he talked about like 95% of obese overweight people will never like like can't make the change like will'll never fix the problem there's a without like extra help it's literally Google it it's called change or die and it's a Harvard Business review and it's talks about like you go into the doctor at 55 and there's 100 people and they say you need to do this to live 99 of them don't do it oh my God because it's that hard to change it's just like this wiring that happens in your brain so that I don't change and I still continue to gain weight well one day I have my baby who's now my 22-year-old son and he was about 6 months old and I'm in the basement of a new house and he always F fell asleep like me holding him and then I'd have to carry him to bed and it was a twostory house by the time I got to the Top Flight I literally was out of breath and I'm like tomorrow I'm going to the gym and my cousin who was a professional bodybuilder owns a gym in Columbus which makes it even more ironic Columbus Indiana Columbus Indiana so I wake up and I drive almost an hour every morning at 5:00 a.
m. and I never missed and I just started walking on the treadmill that that is how I lost my weight I watched what I put in my mouth and I walked on the treadmill nothing nothing out of the ordinary and when when I it this seems so easy and it's like oh yeah like no doubt like watch what you put in your mouth but like like in the moments when it's hard like waking up the first day and you start this new thing you're like no I'm on this journey cool waking up the fourth day hard you know what's hard is when you've done it for a month and it took you 5 years to put on 150 lb and you think after 30 days you should have lost that 150 lb and you step on the scale and you're like 12 lb I lost I did all this for 12 lb and you have to have someone there telling you it's okay keep going and then in 6 months it was 60 lb and in a year it was 100 lb and then over time I got down to about 178 so from 300 to 178 in probably 16 months man did was your cousin like your accountability partner yeah I mean not necessarily my accountability partner but he was there right he knew how to diet he knew how to keep me clean and he would Pat me on the back if I ate a a bucket of oatmeals or Oreo cookies so yeah okay well and I do feel like the one cheat code that I've like seen with like changing lifestyle is someone to keep you accountable or like someone to like go maybe not necessarily go through the whole thing with you but like is there for the journey you you are the sum of the five people you hang around right and that's so and that is so true it's a cliche but it's true and so what I did is I just started finding Fitness friends that went to the gym and you know I'm I'm at the gym the other day I was in Dallas and you know the guy was telling me he like I wish I had people that were you know in shape and wanted to go to the gym but I don't and you know he's like they're they're all out of shape and I kind of looked at I like well maybe I'm that friend for everybody else I'm the out of shape guy but you know it's like when you look around and you're you're with everyone that works out or runs every day you want to be a part of that and it it makes you better and it's why run clubs are really hot right now they are like like everyone in their brother feels like is like joining a run Club even if it's just three miles or it's a walk club or something like the hot girl walks or whatever because like being around people that like want to get up and move is it it's hard like I go out and sometimes I'll run by myself and it's like it takes a lot of willpower and mental fortitude to get out there at 5:30 in the morning and run by yourself but every Wednesday I go to new shoe day right here in Broad Ripple and I'm like this is easy because they're cool people right you want to be around them they they make you feel good you know I'm a slow Runner you know I I ran the Chicago marathon in October I was you know 4 hours and 15 minutes so but what I like to do is like I'm built like a locomotive I run very far so like we ran across the Grand Canyon a couple times we we oh you've done rim to rim we did rim to rim to rim oh that's on my list I would love to say I started that Trend here so really yeah we did it um it was scheduled and then Co closed the canyon which probably saved Our Lives cuz we thought we were trained but we weren't so then we trained for another year and went out 48 to 50 miles something like that yeah you know after you forget a couple things you get some water and remember back and forth It's about 52 miles 22,000 ft of elevation change it's on my list next year all four climates oh yes I can't I'm going next October like I am you're hearing it first here okay so me I every Thursday me and and some of my guys we have a little Track Club track Thursday we meet at the butler track and we just like blare some music and you know run some laps and do some push-ups but we're like trying to find like a misogi are you familiar with the term misogi yeah I know okay so it's like an old Japanese I don't know like a thing and it's one challenge This Is 50 50/50 whether you fail or pass and it's supposed to be a day that impacts the other 364 yeah so like you know Leadville you know rim to rim to rim whatever it might be it's like find like I did an Iron Man last year I did the full Mo this year uh which was like you know 31 miles on the it's it's an ultra marathon it was like challenging I don't know if it was necessar like a 50-50 pass fail if I've done a marathon but like rim to rim to rim is next year and I think that one's going to be fun you know rim to rim to rim it's only a pass like there is no failure once you go down no what I mean what is that you can get helicopter down for like grand grand yeah so yeah I'll pass yeah and AAA can't save you but wait Ro what AAA can do is when your phone doesn't work down there you do a satellite rescue and AAA is on the other side of any Apple product so wait say that what do you mean yeah so if you like let's say you're driving in the desert and your car breaks down and you have no sell service Apple phones have the satellite SOS messaging right and you can get a hold you actually get a hold of a AAA dispatcher when you call their rescue line wow yeah look at that tripa is just making impacts everywhere um okay so so back to this though this journey you lost 100 lb in 16 months yeah about 120 and when those those times when it got hard like what was the thing that kept you going I'd hate to say that it didn't get hard because it did right and what I needed to do was just find opportunities for breaks so when can I just take a week and eat or drink whatever I want to because I was pretty strict on my diet and I'm a plain eater so I was just eating the same thing every day going to the gym rice you know and and I think what gets hard is you're so used to that regimen that now you're afraid to gain a pound and it almost becomes like a disorder if I don't go to the gym what if I eat this what if I do that that's what became hard for me and then just learning how to be like okay you can still live life you don't have to be 78 lbs you know and and then I'm like anyone else I look at the Men's Health Magazine I'm like I want that you're you're not going to get it so just forget about it and move on you know be healthy be happy and and people say why do you do all this and it's like because if something happens I want to be able to grab my baby girl and carry her a mile if I have to right that that's why I do what I do I think that's so power and like people who say like like I know uh gogin is a huge like this is I love this conversation he's big like motivation not it like if you need like a motivational video or whatever every morning like you'll never make the like you'll never make it 16 months and it's like be reasonable yeah motivation is a liar right yeah right and it's like it's like the discipline and like make it impossible to lose like when I people talk about oh I want to wake up early in the morning literally like okay set your phone alarm and put your phone across the room from you so you have to put your feet on the ground every morning set your clothes out like do all the like take away all the the all the reasons why like weak you to tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.
m. won't do it like that's what you got to do so let's go to motivation real quick so you're climbing up the south end of the Grand Canyon you've already went 40ish miles you've put 14 or 15,000 ft of elevation on your body you don't want to eat you don't want to drink you've been out there to long and you want to quit and then you look up and you've got 4 and 1/2 miles and about 5,000 ft of elevation left I had to sit down here's motivation like telling me I'm good and telling me I can do it wasn't working but Alex bers what he did is he goes it's cold I'm leaving so him and Brian just took off and so my buddy Matt comr was like okay what can I do and I'm like I just need to like follow your feet so just start walking and let me follow your feet and it was the most torturous 3 hours 3 hours to go four miles of my life oh man motivation let me down right there what you're telling me like a hype hype video didn't get you I'm just trying to prepare you for like what's going to be the worst five hours of your life is getting out of the canyon I love it yeah but I like I love that cuz it's like I like this point in my life where it's like I know it's there yeah like I never I never go into any of these races of like oh this is going to be easy like no it's not like but like I have that moment where it's like I'm like starting to like feel sorry for myself and feel like and then I'm like Yep this is what I asked for like it's right here like like the the Grim Reaper comes through everybody on these body that allows you to do that right and and that's your motivation I love that like and I can't wait now I'm now I'm freaking pumped for it yeah and just remember like 1% of all the visitors that have ever went to the Grand Canyon go below the rim and it's even less than that that have seen the bottom so you're going to see a piece of this Earth that nobody gets to see that's why I did it man I got chills right there dude I love that okay so so over the 16 months you lose 100 lbs that puts you at like uh yeah like 170 something lbs and like you're feeling good and like when did you like how long did it take to like kind of get into like okay this is just like a rhythm like I'm not going to like I think Boomerang is a big thing right it's like you lose it all and then it's like cool I did it and then you like balloon back up yeah it's like your body has this memory and it's like no no no no no I liked being 250 you know so I'm in one of those right now I told you when I walked in it's like you know I put my winter fat on a little early so I'm working hard right now to to try and manage it again you know I'm like 215 right now I want to be 195 my body wants to be 215 so it's a constant battle between the two of us you know and if I have a little too much fun I let my body win and if I want to buckle up I you know I go down to 195 I think the uh the advice that I have for you know people that are like on the fitness journey are trying to get into it it's like you're not going to start day one and run rim to rim to rim at the Grand Canyon no like you're going to go out and run a mile and it's going to suck you just have to get up and go like 1.
1 tomorrow and it's also important to know I didn't even run a mile until I was 40 wait what I'd never ran how can I ask how old you are now uh 47 okay so seven years ago you had never run a mile and now you've done rim to is that the long what's the longest run you've done yeah so I've I've done the backyard you know on fire the the O Prairie on fire prair on fire how far did you go there 50 miles heck and then um I've ran a lot of 50ks which is you know 32 miles and then you know the worst thing I've ever done is run a marathon because you have to run fast far you know you know what an ultra is it's like an eating contest where you just have to get another are not like it sucks like I I do remember I do remember before rim or before the full Mo I was like just five more miles like what what how hard can that be just five and like those last five miles I didn't dial my nutrition right and they sucked yeah so you know it's all the same it's you know 50 miles is 50 miles your hips hurt your legs hurt your knees hurt your body goes into shock when you get up to the hotel cuz you're like what just happened and you're like I'm never doing again you wake up the next day and you get to eat like 10,000 calories you're like H this is pretty nice yeah never doing it again so another group of us went out you know two years later and was like is that as hard as we thought it was and it wasn't as hard the second time because I think we were prepared for it but yeah what's like what's like a challenge or something that's on your list where it's like this is the next thing I want to do oh my God right now my my challenge bucket is empty so I want to get back out west you know I've ran in Moab I really enjoyed running the Arches out there oh yeah you know and do a 50 mile out there somewhere but but right now my challenge is you I want to get back down to 195 there you go right yeah uh I think there's so many uh like cool races and stuff out there that like and it it takes like a certain like mindset of individuals that are like I want to go find a 50 mile race or I want to go like some like I don't know it's already like 1% of the world runs a marathon or whatever it is and it's like think about how many like go over a marathon and then go over a 50k go I mean that's crazy but I I think it's important so I've said like 195 225 whatever I really don't weigh myself that much anymore because I just want to be healthy you know and if I can run a mile or walk a mile fast or whatever that looks like that that's what that's what your journey should be is what you can do you know don't ever look at anyone else because if I did I would be depressed every day because I am as unfit as it gets when you hang around a lot of fit people you know people everywhere right there's always someone better there's always someone who's going to be faster there's always someone who's going to be you know more like I'm sure like the fastest marathon runner in the world probably looks at like the freaking bodybuilder like I wish I had biceps it's like you're the fastest person in the world like there's always someone who's better at something and it's like finding that comfortability for sure I mean like I said it's team Clydesdale with me and my friends we're all 200 lb and we do we think we run yeah I love that though it's just like Hey low and slow baby just go uh just go cook uh that's so fun what's been the like the most impactful whether it's a race or just like a run or anything like that that that you've done oh I mean it has to be the rim to rim to rim you know no doubt about it because it was a year of preparation and it was another friend's dream we're literally having breakfast and he's like you know I heard about this rim to rim to rim at the Grand Canyon i' never been to the Grand Canyon and I'm like let's do it I woke up the next morning booked a flight booked a hotel told him I had done it and we started training and like I said it's a good thing Co came for this one particular instance because they had to close down the Grand Canyon because after I did it the next year we weren't ready you weren't going to be ready no no and and there are people I think there are seven people that's died doing it this year so it's not like I mean I guess there is a 50/50 but the other 50 is you don't come out and that's what people don't understand is like I I like some people are like oh W I would never do it's like okay if you are prepared you know like to be prepared you're not going to die if you're prepared like obviously like barring like crazy weird circumstances but I do like the idea of like this is legit yeah like well let me give you an example so we're coming out we're like a mile from the top and we run into this gentleman who is struggling and he saw one of these Instagram influencers you know doing this challenge do hard right like that that seemed to be like all over Instagram three years ago and I'm like okay so so what's going on he's like I can't move and I'm we start talking to him and you know he graduated from pen University he's a Google engineer and I'm looking at me him and my buddy going this is the smartest guy on the side of this and he thought he was going to run down to the bottom and back up with no water no food nothing and he was done he could not move and at that point I wasn't going to be able to carry him and so we had to leave him hoping that whoever came down next at 3:00 in the morning was going to help him stop that's how serious it you're a mile from the top and you can't move you would take 50 steps and have to stop 50 steps and have to stop yeah hypon nutria is what time start so the first time we started at 3: in the morning well what time did that guy if he was just going down I have no idea what time he started but it's you know it's usually eight hours if you've never done something like that to go down and back up for most people that's a 12-hour trip so I'm assuming he probably started at 5 6 7 in the morning and here it is 10:00 at night and you know you get down to the bottom and it's 95° but it's 32° in snow snowing at the top you know with 40 mph winds so that's why I say you go through all four climates in October when you start it could be snowing it could be 34° by the time you get down to that section called The Box it'll be 10:00 11:00 in the afternoon or if you're coming back you know 2 3:00 in the afternoon and it'll be 95° you're surrounded by Granite walls you're sweating you don't want to eat or drink you know it's like so you have to tell yourself so we set a 15-minute timer on our watch and every 15 minutes took a sip and took a bite took a sip and took a bite so wait what was your what was your fuel what were you eating oh I had to go through so much like you know you start out and you're like okay this is what I'm going to do so you know scratch is my go-to and pretty much liquid calories for a while and then I switched to a certain um High Car Bar and I ate so many of those I haven't eaten one sense and I loved them so oh no it's going to ruin something it's going to ruin something but yeah um man this was such a fun an awesome conversation I learned so much about Triple A and I'm just all in on like the I love like do hard like I love that mentality but I do think so I mean I'll give you the like I was very close to running rim to rim to rim uh like last weekend okay like my my one of my good friends he lives out in Denver was like we were kind of planning it for I don't know like six or eight months and I didn't buy a ticket but I was like I'm going to go do it I'm going to go do it and like you know I kind of like quit my my job went full-time on this and was like okay yeah I'm I'm going to buy a ticket I'm going to do it and like and I hate being this person yeah and it got to I got home from French Lick and I've been like booing and like hanging out the casino whatever and it's Sunday and I'm like I haven't bought a ticket yet and I go look at prices and they're like $900 for a flight yeah and I like call my buddy and I'm like dude one I'm so undertrained yeah two like a ticket is $900 three like I hate to be this guy and I so now I like it's at the top of my list like it's all I can think about like your ticket booked your hotel uh I have got my crew so now I have to start from scratch though cuz like I need I'm not going to one of the things I'm not going to do it by myself yeah cuz like I want to have like like all these things it's just better to have like at least one other person preferably like we get a group of like three or four but I'm like talking to all the people at the track club like last night we I got one my first guy in Boyd he he knows that he's in for it okay so we're trying to get like two or three more guys if we can get a little group of four I mean I'll do it with two Boyd and I will do it but like buying tickets like picking our yeah so I would say like four is the perfect number I've done it with three I've done it with four four is the perfect number no no doubt about it all right I'm going to find the other two and we're going to make this thing happen next year hold me CU if you go with like eight one of those is going to show up like you after French Lick and it's going to be a 24-hour trip for you oh gosh yeah because again there's no quitting there's just time yeah you get out at some point um man this was awesome thank you so much for I do have a couple fun segments here at the end if you're you're down for some fun segments okay um okay so the first one we have this is our younger years segment so this is brought to you by our friends at or Fellowship they're a great organization here in Indianapolis they're helping develop young Business Leaders across the state they just opened a branch in Evansville I was an ORF fellow it was an incredible experience and so we're going to start when we're going to say Matt what advice would you give to your 22-year-old self is probably something I live off of today and it's like just don't listen to other people you know I learned early on my friends don't pay my bills and I needed I needed to make sure I could get my head on straight and start looking forward you know again I had a non-traditional background I didn't go to college but I ended up finishing College when I worked for American family and um I had a supportive company but they just they kept you going forward right like don't listen to other people don't try to look like other people just be you you know I love that just be you that's that's great advice and I think that 22- year- olds out there and you know like I think your story of like hey you like looked in the mirror and you're like you know it's time to start making some changes and like and do it the next day yeah like like find those things and like whether it's you want to like get your college degree or you want to lose weight or you want to get smarter or you want to do whatever just like take a baby step every single day yeah just just be kind and be you amen I love that all right now we have some fun AAA kind of uh some some car kind of questions for you so Matt what was your first car an 87 Toyota Corolla Brown yeah Crown baby yes 87 Corolla those things are they probably it's probably still running somewhere oh that one's not but I guarantee we could probably find one somewhere oh those things run like 350,000 miles yeah I I put a lot of hard miles on that Toyota so okay dream discount if you could get any partner any discount for AAA members in the world what would it be 50% off at any Steakhouse okay that's fair that for me is a dream discount right or the dream we go even further what's the dream partnership in Indiana like who needs to call you in Indiana like we need to set something up between we started it you read my mind it's French click no doubt about it I want to play and stay for my AAA members that that they're going to enjoy you know here's a question and you may be asking me so I maybe like spoiler alert on your podcast I've heard you you like your Instagram will always show like a hidden gym in Indiana yeah so I was like oh my God I'm I'm scared about this question I asked three people what is your hidden gym in Indiana you know what their response was French Lake French lck dude and I'm like is that really a Hidden Gem it's hidden because I don't think people actually like that many people actually go like everyone knows it's they like oh yeah we got French L but it's like and I was like I know and I could speak about I know there's a casino and there's this but it's like until you actually go you have no idea those hotels are Indiana Oh that well too that and then um I grew up in Logansport and we always used to go to this place called France Park I don't even know if it's in the existence anymore but it was like a stone Cory that was a beach and we would go there and swim and there was always hundreds of people so France Park is my hidden gym France Park all right we're gonna have to dive into that a little bit um com you hit AAA member and it gives you special rates oh okay that's fair because you said you spend how many nights a year in a marot uh too many I am I am titanium so oh God too many nights that's too many but yeah it's it's my favorite is the Marriott disc I love that uh what's something the world needs to know about Indiana the number one thing is I feel like we are the friendliest state in the country no way fans are butts about it and you've been around like you you live in Georgia you lived in Cincinnati yeah all great States but of all my travels I always want to come back to Indiana you know and and that that was what was special when I lived in Georgia it was the opportunity to come back and run the state for um American family and it was a dream and I just love the people here that you know it just it's an amazing place to be I love that it's so true and like if you if you're like oh man it's just like Indiana people like talking about Indiana like of course it's like it's true like go places go places and like talk to people that specifically talk to people we just had Leonard Hoops he's the CEO of visit Indie on the podcast probably like a month or so ago and he talked about like he's lived in San Francisco he's lived in like Tampa Florida something like that and it's like he is settling down like planning reach in Indianapolis because the people are different yeah the people are different talk to people that have been and lived in other places when someone says like hey why do I want to travel to Indianapolis I tell them we're a sports city so you can come and in one weekend go to an IU or Purdue game uh you can go to a Colts game a Pacers game all in one weekend stay at a really nice hotel eat at a very nice restaurant and then enjoy all the sports you want I mean we are spoiled with what they do on a sport side like the All-Star game NCAA games you have world renowned college teams around here like we are so spoiled oh yeah like you mean two hours up to Notre Dame like that is a historic historic I mean the football team crazy if you're a sports fan wouldn't you want to do that trip like Notre Dame IND indana State Purdue Butler I mean what they're doing downtown now with IU like it's incredible mhm I love it yeah um that that's a good one and and final question for you for the day who's a hooer that we need to keep on our radar someone who's doing big things I I look at a few people right like so the the chair of my board Marsha she is one of the the high ups at uh the Indianapolis Airport and every time I fly in and out of that airport I'm like oh yeah we've got it going on right like if you use a lot of airports you know the one place you don't want to be is an airport bathroom but at the Indianapolis Airport yeah right their parking is right there like everything is perfect you're going to love this I just dropped a video where I timed from Park to plane okay on uh from the at the airport so I think my final time was like 38 minutes like I parked in the economy lot caught the shuttle made it through security like got to my flight in 30 in no got to seated in in the plane in 38 minutes yeah and the the slowest part I don't think they can control which is like the TSA check right yeah well for me the slowest part was a shuttle cuz I was just like I had happen to be at a bad time so like a shuttle went by and I walked up and I waited but like I mean I pushed it like it was like I showed up at like uh 9:45 the flight left at 11: and I was like I had extra time to wait that's only in Indiana yeah I i' I've been like 30 minutes prior to a flight before parked in the garage and just ran over no check luggage and I'm at my gate and I'm like oh I still have time to spare there we go I love it uh so you're saying Marsha yeah Mara at the airport they do a phenomenal job um you know the the other is uh Scott dorsy what was oh high alpha high alpha yeah I see their name everywhere so oh yeah yeah yeah yeah they're they're investing in some pretty awesome stuff oh dude they're not necessarily an individual but a company yeah I love that one and we have to talk about uh what was her name the travel agent lean Decker lean Decker she's with us for 25 years you got to keep lean Decker on your radar oh yeah Le I hope one person just one listener goes and reaches out to Leanne yeah yeah connect with us do do whatever you need to do but we'll get you with Leanne I love that incredible this was an awesome conversation thank you so much where can we find you how can we support triaa oh well the first place I'd go is our website www.
