Parks

Greenwood has 17 parks covering almost 400 acres of land. These parks include splash pads, skate parks, various sporting courts, and plenty of playgrounds. Greenwood also has over 20 miles of trails for walking and biking. You can use these trails to enjoy the beautiful wooded and green areas throughout the city.

For the Sports Lovers

There are lots of recreational sports activities all over town. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy several golf courses. Freedom Springs Aquatic Park is an experience you need to try. Tall slides with plenty of twists and turns, a lazy river, cabanas, an “island” that functions as a stage for live music performances, and much more. The Fieldhouse has something for all ages, including turf fields, hardwood courts, an elevated walking track, golf simulators, and more. Finally, the sports park hosts a playground, the city’s second splash pad, a multi-use sports field with a cricket pitch, and is connected to the city’s trail network. 

Shop and Eat

Every Saturday from April to September, you can visit the Greenwood Farmers Market. The market was established in 1992 and has since provided locals and visitors with locally grown food and handcrafted items. The Greenwood Park Mall has long been a popular destination for shoppers. Recently, local entrepreneurs have joined the mall with clothing, furniture, and specialty boutiques, offering a unique shopping experience. The town is loaded with locally owned restaurants, with a wide variety of options, ensuring something for everyone. 


Greenwood's Hidden Gem

Every town has its hidden gem, and Greenwood is no exception. The Greenwood Amphitheater is near Surina Square Park. This gem hosts a FREE summer concert series every year. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy musical performances from local artists. You can even bring your own cooler with snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic). During events, you will also find local beverage and food vendors set up. Free music, food trucks, and cold beverages sound like a perfect date or night out with friends. This is a free hidden gem you want to take advantage of!
