#1 Andrean 59ers vs. #2 Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles
No team in IHSAA baseball history has a resume quite like Andrean.
The 59ers (30-3) are making their state-record 12th appearance in the 3A championship since 2004, and they're looking to win back-to-back titles for a fourth time – something no other Indiana school has done more than once. Their previous titles came in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2025. Their postseason road included wins over #10 New Prairie and #5 DeKalb, and they arrive at Victory Field with a championship pedigree that simply doesn't exist anywhere else in the state.
Guerin Catholic is making its first trip to the baseball state finals and is seeking the school's second state title this school year, with boys soccer having won it all last fall. The Golden Eagles (27-3-1) have been dominant in the postseason, allowing just six total runs across six games. In semi-state, they shut out #12 Providence behind a nine-strikeout complete game from Alabama commit Tate Troxell, then held off #4 Gibson Southern 4-2 in the final.
Offensively, three Division I commits lead the way. Ian Taylor (George Mason) has nine home runs and a .593 on-base percentage. Carson Kail (Dayton) is batting .432, and Ben Canada (Northwestern) leads the team with 37 hits.

#1 Kouts Mustangs vs. #4 Northeast Dubois Jeeps
Kouts capped its 2025 season with the program's first state finals appearance, ending with a loss to Indianapolis Lutheran. They then dropped their first game of the 2026 season to Guerin Catholic. Since then? Thirty-one straight wins.
The Mustangs (31-1) have been nearly unstoppable, outscoring opponents 60-6 in the playoffs with top-10 wins over #7 Morgan Township and #10 Rossville. The player to watch is sophomore Billy Miller, who leads the team in virtually every offensive category and is even more impressive on the mound with a 0.42 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 49.2 innings pitched.
Northeast Dubois is making its first trip to the baseball state finals and will try to bring home the school's first-ever state title. The Jeeps (23-5) knocked out #9 Shakamak in regionals, then dispatched #13 Greenwood Christian and #11 Hauser at semi-state to punch their ticket. The Jeep to watch is junior Sam Beck, who is batting .470 with seven home runs.
Saturday, June 20 | Class 2A Championship | 4:30 p.m. ET
#1 Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats vs. Bluffton Tigers
Evansville Mater Dei is making its second straight appearance in the 2A final and seventh overall. The Wildcats' only state championship came in 1999 over Jimtown, and this year's squad looks like it could change that.
Mater Dei (29-3) is riding a 16-game winning streak and in semi-state took out #9 University in the semis before outlasting #11 Sullivan 5-2 in nine innings in the final.
Bluffton (19-10) is on a magical ride. The Tigers started the season 6-6, lost their last three regular season games, and looked like an unlikely playoff contender. But they've run through the postseason with three shutouts in five victories, including knocking out 1A power Lafayette Central Catholic at semi-state. Senior Griffin Morgan and junior Axton Beste put fear in opposing pitchers with a combined 18 home runs.
Saturday, June 20 | Class 4A Championship | 8 p.m. ET
#10 Bloomington South Panthers vs. Lake Central Indians
Bloomington South is making its third state finals appearance in baseball and first since 1972, when they won in the old one-class format over South Adams. This year's team (25-6) has won nine straight games, capped by a 1-0 victory over #3 Evansville North in the semi-state final. Oddly enough, the Panthers didn't record a hit and manufactured the game's only run on a walk and a throwing error in the fourth inning. Senior pitchers Xavier Hemingway and Tyler Morris combined on the shutout.
Lake Central is also making its third trip to the 4A state final and won it each of the previous two times in 2012 and 2024. The Indians (27-8) are looking to add a baseball trophy next to the softball championship the school brought home last weekend. Their road to Victory Field cleared some serious hurdles: #5 Munster and #2 Crown Point in sectionals, #15 Goshen in regionals, and then Zionsville on a walk-off hit and #7 Penn in semi-state.
The Rundown
So which baseball programs will bring home state championships this weekend? Will Andrean extend its unmatched dynasty with a fourth back-to-back title and record 10th championship, or can first-timer Guerin Catholic pull off the upset? In 1A, does Kouts' 31-game win streak carry through, or does Northeast Dubois make history with the school's first-ever title? In 2A, can Bluffton's Cinderella run keep going against a Mater Dei team that's been here before? And in 4A, does Bloomington South complete one of the most memorable runs in recent state finals memory, or does Lake Central prove why it's a program that wins when it gets here?
